In
1918, Mahatma Gandhi started his movement for Khadi as relief programme
for the poor mass living in Indian villages. Spinning and weaving were
elevated to an ideology for self-reliance and selfgovernment. Khadi is
hand woven fabric made from natural fibers. First hand was spun from a
'Charkha' and then the weaving was done by hand to make a perfect cloth.
Khadi is generally understood to be made from Cotton fiber but it can be
from 'Silk' and 'Wool' also. Cotton, as you have asked is a fiber. This khadi cotton weave is in Manipuri design. The combination is very
eye-catching. It has Pink and blue coloured ganga jamuna border.Anchal have some
jamdani flower design. I teamed up with matching blouse and minimum
jewellery.This is purchased from #Srijaboutiqueandhandicrafts.
